Community Input Meetings
The St. Tammany Parish Library will be hosting community input meetings for the renovation of the Slidell branch and the replacement of the Lacombe branch.
These meetings are information sessions with input boards for local attendees to vote on features they would like in the Slidell and Lacombe branches.
Slidell Branch Renovation Meetings

For those unable to attend, the community input boards will be available for two weeks, until 8 p.m. on July 28, at the Slidell branch.
Lacombe Replacement Branch Meetings
The community meetings for the Lacombe Replacement branch will be held on July 15, 2025, at the Lacombe Recreation District #4 (61100 N 12th St, Lacombe) gymnasium.
Session 1: 2 P.M.
Session 2: 7 P.M.
The community input boards will be available at the Lacombe branch for those unable to attend both sessions for two weeks, until 6 p.m. on July 29.
Teens in grades 8th -12th can receive up to two surprise totes each month, one for books and another for art and crafts.
Teen Book Totes can be requested each month from the 1st to the 15th of each month for the following month’s distribution. Starting the first of the following month, teens can pick up their Teen Book Tote until the 15th of the month.
What’s inside: Each tote has two teen books from the TEEN collection, fun swag and a snack.
A valid email address and a library card with Teen collection permission must be provided at sign-up and checkout of your tote from a branch.
Teen Arts and Crafts Totes can be requested starting on the 15th to the 30th of the month, for the following month’s tote. Totes can be picked up starting the 15th of the following month.

Two DIY (Do It Yourself) craft projects and a snack.
Artwork from the NAMI Art show is still on display at the Slidell branch and will remain available for viewing until July 12th.
Happy Independence Day!
All St. Tammany Parish Library branches and offices will be closed on Friday, July 4th, and Saturday, July 5th in observance and celebration of our country's Independence Day.
Regular business hours will resume on Monday, July 7th.
The Friends of the Library of West St. Tammany will hold their monthly Used Book Sale on July 18th and 19th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at their building located at 1301 N. Florida St. in Covington, near the St. Tammany Parish Fairgrounds.
Some items start as low as 25 cents. Find books, DVDs, music and audio CDs, and puzzles, with a large selection of homeschool items and children's books. All proceeds support St. Tammany Parish Libraries.

The Friends of the Slidell Library (FSL) will hold their SSSSale (Second Saturday Special Sale) on July 12th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Slidell Library, located at 555 Robert Blvd. This month's theme will include over a hundred newer/current fiction books for adults published within the last two years.

July 25th Sale (5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) - Members Only Sale This sale is only for FSL Members only however, memberships and renewals will be purchasable at the door. Annual memberships cost $5.00 for individuals and $8.00 for families.
July 26th Sale (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) - Public Sale This sale is open to the public.
