🍁Check out what's happening this month at the Library!

September is Library Card Sign-Up month and this year’s theme is “Create Your Adventure at the Library.” Signing up for a library card is the first step to creating your adventure, be it a road toward learning a photography or coding course or a journey into crafts and hobbies. A library card unlocks the full potential of your local library, in person and online.
In celebration of Library Card Sign-Up Month, Food for Fines will be held all month long! For every (1) item donated, $1 of late fines or lost item fees will be waived. (No credit for future fines)

The Library will be accepting nonperishable food items that will be donated to local food banks across the parish.

The Library will also accept canned and dry pet food as items to be used for Food for Fines. These items will be donated to the St. Tammany Parish Government Department for Animal Services’s Pet Food Pantry. This pantry has assisted owners in tough times, helping to prevent pet surrender to the shelter.

Animal Services, in partnership with the Library, will discount $10 off non-waived pet adoption fees for anyone who shows a STPL Library card when adopting in September.

Contact STPG Dept. of Animal Services if you are interested in adopting Honey, Flip, George, Jillian or any of the precious shelter pets they have available.

Visit them at 31078 Highway 36 Lacombe, LA 70445 or call 985-809-0183. Learn more about Animal Services at their website, stpgov.org/pets
